I have an approved EB3 I140 ( PD 10/2002 ) and an approved EB2 I140 ( PD 04/2007 ) but my attorney has been having trouble getting the EB33 priority date on to EB2. My EB3 petition is with Texas Service Center. Both of my petitions are from same employer.
Has anyone had any success with Texas Service Center for this kind of request recently?

Then, they should recaliberate the salary to what would be worth 11 months of salary and set it up that way......
Here I'm playing devil's advocate. What if the salary now falls below the market rate determined by DOL? I am sure that some of these fly-by-night operators are also some of the poorer paymasters.

I am on same boat. Mine and my wife case also transfered from Texas to Orlando,FL.My PD is EB2 sep06 and we filed 485 July2nd'07.140 approved in March07.
We never worked in FL state.
My case is tranfered on 8th April'08 and a LUD today(9th April 08).

My I-140 is approved.
But as per the August visa bulletin all the country visa numbers are U right. The August 17th is just an extension for the July visa bulletin rollback right?

The spreadsheet is totally sorted now according to the PD. I had to make one change though. The day of the month of PD was not mentioned and I had to write something to sort it out. I made it 1st of the month for everybody to be able to so sorting. You can change the day if you want to. Also please do not sort the data yourself. I will do it periodically. Just enter your info at the end.

All they need to do is add "text message" functionality and a new Cascaded Style Sheet.

My project got over 2 weeks back and I have an EAD. I am looking for jobs and the market is very tight.
So my suggestion - just don't relax because U can safely move jobs on EAD. Keep trying hard. AFAIK there is no difference in the interviewing process so keep trying hard for jobs

It seem like the CIR does not allow working as consultant on H1B. I read through that part, but does not quite understand. Can someone who understands the legislation let me if the bill passed, what is the effective time that we need to stop working?
Is it:
1> The time when bill is signed by Bush?
2> The beginning of the following fisical year?
or
3> You can keep working till the current H1B expires, but cannot renew?

This will be a problem for all the people whose cases gets transfered from other centers to NSC or TSC. May be it is just the receipt date of transfer notice... Not the actual 485 application ? A clarification from USCIS would help

feasibility of it. As the security of this country is considered a
priority, it is important that the adequate budget and resources are
devoted to the security checks ..."
This sounds like a good initiative to help out all of us that finally end up making in I-485. Suggest we rally all IV members to sign this petition:

If you think the price is to go up, then you can buy them at current market value of 26 and hold them. You don't have to pay 30 for it :-)
Options are only valuable if they are more than the exercisable price, if not the paper is worth nothing.
Why do you want to buy the options at that price? Can't you just buy it from the open market and that way option will exxpire and there will be that many less open shares.

IV is so diverse, and mostly anonymous. Quoting one of the greatest persons in history is fine in theroy. But please practice it.
First and formost, don't become 'touch me not' and withdraw. I am sure you will. Taking umbrage against posts shouldn't turn oneself off, if service, sharing and co-operation is the driving motive.
I have seen much water flown under the bridge, here at IV, at work and in personal life. We are all here for the avoidable 'injustices' going on against EB based folks: in visa stamping to AOS.
The whole gamut. Let's say - if most are are turned off (however personal it may be), there is no zest, no life; a place is Sahara, Thar or Gobi would be a perfect place.
Hope you will take in the right spirit. Got to go. Reaaly going to get unhooked from IV for today.

I will share what I know - IV folks ridiculed me when I said my info from the Ombudsman's office was true. They simply don't want people who have a slightly variant info to raise a voice. I have not personally heard from the O's office on this as I sent my application out on Friday for a Monday delivery without any knowledge of such possibility. If it happens it will really stink...to those who call Ombudsman the barking dog - think before you say - he may have just saved us from loosing 40K visas. Possibly the dates were made current only to clear pre-adjudicated cases. And if thats true, guess what? A window will open again in October. Thats better than where we were without the O's report that may have not impacted anything and the 40K cases ahead of us would still be pending. Its in our greater interest that they get approved and we move up the ladder versus we trying to cry wolf. My 2 cents...
Something to ponder: "Gandhi's peace marches did not get Independence to India alone. They were radical movements of many people behind it equally responsible if not more. IVs movement is the peaceful one - important but not enough and definitely not filled with exclusivity"

Female homeowners were also carrying around more aggravation, making less time for leisure, and were less likely to spend time with friends.
"Home ownership can be a much more complex idea than just a straightforward expression of what we call the American dream," says Grace Wong Bucchianeri, an assistant professor of real estate at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. The story was reported on Canada.com
But what about all the good stuff that comes with owning a home? Aren't homeowners benefiting from the security and independence of owning. Not really. The research shows that when you control for things like childbirth and income, the difference in contentment vanishes.
"I don't see any strong evidence that homeowners are any happier than renters," says Bucchianeri, whose 600-woman study is under review for publication in the Journal of Urban Economics. "On the other hand, they consistently report a higher level of pain — or what you might call negative feelings — connected to their home, and that's after controlling for all kinds of demographic characteristics, their financial situation, how many children they have and so on."
